There are many ways you can help Friends of the Wake County Guardian ad Litem Program in meeting the needs of children and families. Please consider volunteering to serve on one of our special committees that include:
  • Finance: work with the treasurer to establish special grant approval process, GAL office/training support, plan and complete audits as needed.
  • Scholarships (summer camps): review process for accepting summer camp applications, amounts and consideration for offering camp opportunities for children in care.
  • Special projects: review and establish process for Back-to-school with Pride, Angel Tree and computer/electronics.
  • Website and social media: includes research on latest resources for GALs in their work with foster children, updating website and implementing more social media outreach.
  • Public relations and speakers bureau. The voice of the organization in meeting with supporters, creating press releases, and other correspondence of the organization.
